The Scarlet Spotlight is happy to be joined by former Rutgers women's soccer head coach Glenn Crooks for Episode 29. Crooks served as leader of that program for 14 years, before handing off the reins to associate head coach Mike O'Neill. Crooks discusses his path to coaching women's soccer, his pivot back to broadcasting after his coaching career and the state of soccer in the U.S. The now-voice of New York City FC in the MLS, Crooks comments on the quality of the league, the idiosyncrasies of club soccer in New Jersey and his relationship with U.S. Women's National Team star Carli Lloyd. In the Scarlet Six, Danny and Jon note the grad transfers to RU football, men's basketball recruiting and schedule news, end-of-year lacrosse notes, surprises from other Scarlet Knights spring sports programs and the Academic Progress Rate results.
